چکیده
Simple and suitable treatment of swine slurry from small farms is paramount especially in sensitive areas. This paper evaluates the viability an innovative nature-based technology hybrid system (a Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland followed by a Horizontal both planted with reeds – Phragmites australis ) to treat for further land application or discharge water bodies reduced nitrogen impact. Physicochemical parameters, bacterial indicators, surface deposits biomass inside filters were monitored. The configuration offered dual function simultaneous solid-liquid separation biological treatment. Removal organic matter suspended solids was very high (>80% SS >75% COD BOD 5 while overall load removal 65%, due combined nitrification/denitrification processes, thus effectively reducing content. influence temperature design operational parameters on efficiency hydraulic behavior also studied. vertical constructed wetland achieved good performance no clogging problems, despite pollutant loads. Some pollutants retained mineralized deposit layer, increasing around 20 cm each year. biosolid layer improved filtration efficiency. ammonia contents interfered growth , concentration determine operation be implemented.

Study the Performance of Hybrid Constructed Wetland with Pumice Substrate and Vetiver Plants in Urban Wastewater Treatment
One of the ways to reduce the amount of wastewater pollution is the use of constructed wetlands. In this research, the performance of a hybrid constructed wetland with pumice ore and vetiver plant on urban wastewater has been investigated. Hybrid wetlands with these specifications were constructed in the vicinity of wastewater treatment at the Isfahan University of Technology. To evaluate the p...
متن کاملAnammox enrichment and constructed wetland inoculation for improvement of wastewater treatment performance
This study contributes to the improvement of low-cost biotechnology for wastewater treatment in constructed wetlands (CWs). Constructed wetlands are energy efficient engineered systems that mimic the treatment processes of natural wetlands, removing polluting organic matter, nutrients, and pathogens from water. The aim of this study was to investigate the advisability of the inoculation of hori...

Constructed wetlands (CWs) have been used as an alternative to conventional technologies for wastewater treatment for more than five decades. Recently, the use of various modified CWs to improve treatment performance has also been reported in the literature. However, the available knowledge on various CW technologies considering the intensified and reliable removal of pollutants is still limite...
متن کاملDevelopment of alum sludge-based constructed wetland: an innovative and cost effective system for wastewater treatment.
This article describes a research attempt to integrate the dewatered alum sludge, a residual by-product of drinking water treatment process, into a constructed wetland (CW) system for the purpose of enhancing the wastewater treatment performance, thus developing a so called alum sludge-based constructed wetland system. A multi-dimensional research project including the batch tests of phosphorus...
